The latest issue of Sports Illustrated has a chart for "Average Salary by Nationality"
in the major leagues. As follows: In a very general sense, this is an interesting chart, although some of these averages are a
bit misleading. Ichiro Suzuki's $17.1M per year salary goes a long way toward bolstering the average salary for
Japan, although Hideki Matsui ($13M) and Kenji Johjima ($5.5M) also contribute. Likewise for Curacao: That $7.5M
average salary is mostly courtesy of Andruw Jones ($9M), with Jair Jurrjens ($390K) and Wladimir Balentien ($380K)
serving as economic dead weight. Without them, this Dutch province would be Number 1! You know that Governor Frits Martinus de los Santos
Goedgedrag is pissed.
